Pray the Giant Outdoor Rosary

On May 5, 2018 from 3:00 to 3:45, the Daughters of St. Scholastica will host its annual Outdoor Rosary in the church courtyard.  This event is unique in that the custom-made wooden Rosary we’ll use is an enormous version, measuring more than 20 feet long.  Volunteers will pick up and hold each bead as we pray.  It’s an interactive prayer experience like no other.  We will say the Rosary to honor Our Lady during her month of May, praying especially for the sanctity of marriage and world peace.

Arrive early and place your petitions in the petition basket and select a blessed Rosary that is yours to keep.  Confirmation students will begin the event by presenting the story of Our Lady of Fatima.  During the opening hymn, the young children will be invited to place flowers in special vases throughout the courtyard.  Feel free to bring cut flowers from your garden or use flowers provided by the parish.  The choir from the 11:30 Mass will lead us in traditional song.  Then, join us for 4:00 Mass immediately after.

Bottled water will be provided and limited seating will be available in the courtyard.

Confirmation students and their families wanting to lead a decade of the Rosary should contact Peggy Morrow at before April 29.
